Special Program “10 wonders of Yakutia”

Tour period: Last week of June – early July
Duration of the tour: 9 days/8 nights
Group size: 10-15 persons
Ysyakh1 day, Saturday: Arrival in Yakutsk at 08:25 am, S7. Transfer by comfortable bus to Ys-Khatyn place (20 km). 10:00 – Visit to national holiday Ysyakh (celebration of the New Year). See the link /special-interest/ysyakh/ysyakh-part-1

The contests, concerts, national sport games, competitions, national ceremonies are held all day long (there will be separate tent pavilion for the group, where the tourists may leave their things and have rest). 14:00. Lunch – picnic in the territory of tent pavilion. Continuing the acquaintance with the Holyday. Transfer to the hotel at 18:00. Dinner in the restaurant in the city at 20:00 . The tourists who wish may visit the main event of the festival – meeting of the sun (in the night at 3:00 am). Overnight in the hotel “Polar Star” in the city.

2 day, Sunday

Breakfast in the hotel. 8:00 – departure of the group by bus (130 km) for rafting along Buotama river (ferry crossing to the opposite bank to Nizhny Bestyakh settlement, about 1.5 hour). On the way for rafting – visit to Buluus (the unique ice-field with the source of drink water which does not melt all year round). See the link /must-see-places

13:00 – Picnic in the area of Buluus. Departure to the 131st kilometer of the federal motor road “Lena”.  Footcrossing to Buotama river to the place of rafting start (8 km). Safety briefing. Rafting (3 km) till the prepared tent camp. Field dinner. Overnight in the tents (2 persons  accommodation). The tourists who wish may fish in Buotama river.

3 day, Sunday

Rafting along Buotama river by two-seat canoes and catamarans. The distance – 30 km. Accommodation in two-persons tents. Floating crafts, life-jackets, mats for sleeping-bags, anti-mosquito tools are provided. The sleeping-bags are not provided. Field meals, cooked on fire. The group membership includes the cook and the guides.

4 day, Tuesday

Rafting along Buotama river. End of the rafting in the tourist base “The Lena Pillars National Park”. Visit to bisons park (the bisons are brought from Canada 5 years ago, more than 50 of them). Dinner. Rest. Overnight in the tents.

5 day, Wednesday

Breakfast in the tent camp. Tents folding. Transfer by boat to the Lena Pillars (80km). See the link http://www.lenapillars.ru/  Lunch. Ascension to the rocks. Rest. Overnight in the tents.

6 day, Thursday

Breakfast in the tent camp. Tents folding, departure by boat to Yelanka, the village of the coachmen on the right bank of the Lena river (50 km). Visit to Yelanka Pillars and seeing the ancient rock writings on the way. Arrival to Yelanka at 13:00 – 14:00. Field lunch. Visiting the museum of the Lena coachmen. Departure to the city by bus. Visit to the most northern zoo “Orto Doidu” on the way (45 km. from Yakutsk). 20:00 – Dinner in the restaurant in the city. Accommodation in the hotel “Polar Star”.

7 day, Friday

Breakfast in the hotel. 10:00 – Sightseeing tour in Yakutsk with the visits to the National Treasury of Yakutia, Museum of Mammoth, diamond polishing factory of “APL Diamond” company, opportunity to buy certificated brilliants. 14:00 – lunch in the restaurant. After lunch – visit to the regional museum. Coming back to the hotel, time for rest. The tourists who wish may buy the souvenirs and  go shopping in Old City (near the hotel).

 

8 day, Saturday

Breakfast in the hotel. 10:00 – Sightseeing tour in Yakutsk with the visit to country market, shopping. 13:00 – lunch in the restaurant. Transfer to the ethnographic complex Chochur Muraan. Visit to the Permafrost Kingdom and ice bar with the ceremony of meeting with Chyskhaan, the Lord of Frost. Unique pass from summer to winter and back, unforgettable contrast and feeling of the winter fairy tale in the period of summer heat!

Excursion along the complex, visit to the dog farm of the Yakut blue-eyed laika, seeing the wooden architecture of the first Russian explorers and Siberian traders. Farewell dinner. Transfer to the city. Overnight in the hotel.

9 day, Sunday

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the airport. Departure to Moscow.

The cost includes: single accommodation in the hotel “Polar Star”, three meals according to the program, provision by floating crafts, the service of the guide-interpreter and cook, all transfers and movements according to the program, entrance tickets to the museums and tourist complex, places of visit, life-jackets, anti-mosquito tools, satellite connection for the emergency cases.

The cost does not include: air flight to Yakutsk and back. Sleeping bags.
