Ski
resort
The Ski resort at Lebediniy town, Aldan uluss, is a unique place both climate-wise and
geographically. The slopes are covered with snow from the middle of September until the
first part of June. The snow is two to seven meters thick. The air temperature is 0 to
-15°C from September through October. There is no place like it for downhill skiing at
this time of year, neither in Europe nor in Asia. Between December and February the
temperature might drop to -28°C for a few days. The snow slopes are magnificent in April
and May.
The altitude difference of 840 meters allows for maintenance of a variety of ski-runs both
for beginners and for experienced skiers. The runs are standard for national and
international competitions.
The resort is equipped with three hoop lifts. Each is 900 meters long. They are in
operation from October until June. Accommodation is in tourist cabins.
