Reindeer
sledding
Yakutia is a country of wilderness and the ancient culture of its indigenous people who
for hundreds of years have carried on the traditional life style of nomads.
The ethnographic complex "Bakaldyn" offers tourists a chance to visit Evenk
grounds with traditional dwellings and a native crafts exhibition. It is an introduction
into the ancient culture of taiga nomads. Shaman totems represent Evenk views of the world
and of existence. The fascinating reindeer sledding tour is a chance to absorb major
impressions of the beautiful northern landscape. It is an opportunity to master taiga life
style skills.
