Restaurant ‘Bergen’
A comfortable premises with various accessories of hunters and fishermen.
There are many stuffed animals and birds. One can see moose horns,
a great head of bighorn, jaws of siberian taimen (hucho-hucho), a
brown bear, and fly goose. The very things Yakutia is proud of as
the land of hunters and fishermen.
But it’s only entourage. Visitors are offered to taste a unique traditional
food of the Yakuts. Diamond Park is proud of the fact that its restaurant
is only place where one can order meals with bighorn meat or taimen.
Shooting-range
Impressed with national food, visitors can try their accuracy and
keenness of vision in a shooting-range. Pneumatic weapons – rifles
and pistols - are different. There are also arbalests, slingshots,
and catapults. As we say, it’s up to personal wishes.
In summer, ones who prefer action may compete with each other in
painball battles or get some skills in falconry.
Reindeer Sledding
Short circle. But unforgettable. Especially for those who have never
seen them alive and do not have possibility to travel to the remote
regions of Yakutia.
Dog Sledding
The notable thing is that dog sledding are provided by dogs of Kolyma.
They are the very ones that became ancestors of well-known huskies.
They are the very ones polar pioneers used for travel across Arctic
Circle.
Unfortunately, not so much dogs of these species are left. Diamonf
Park is one of a few places where dog-breeding is held professionally.
Horse Sledding
In Diamond Park visitors can see horse species Yakutia are very proud
of. So to say, Yakutian horses are almost the only ones that can live
in sever environment of the North. They are able to stand –50 degrees
centigrade.
Zoo
In the same wood building where the restaurant is located, there
is a little zoo with animals exotic to the northern people, that are
parrots, other birds, snakes, spiders, and small crocodiles. All of
them were delivered from the southern countries.
Yuten - the Yakutian Hut
While waiting for your turn to get horse sledding, guests can visit
a little Yakutian house to drink hot tea and try home-made traditional
flat cake
