What documents do you need to come to Yakutia?

You are a foreigner. You are interested to come here. So what will you need?

All the foreigners, who wish to visit our Republic, should have valid passport and Russian visa.

Permission to come and stay here is issued by Consular Service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation.

If you would like to visit our republic as a tourist, Yakutiatravel will consider it an honor to arrange the tourist invitation for you. We are allowed to accept tourists from all over the world on the basis of the agreement with the Department of the Foreign Affairs of Russia, reference # 3127

In case if you are on a business trip, you should obtain permission from Department of passports and visas of Ministry of Foreign Relations of Republic Sakha (Yakutia), and in case of private visit or tour trip, you will have to bring a confirmation of receiving party.

Foreigners, who came to regions of special order, should register in local organs of internal affairs within 3 days.

Extracts from Law of Republic Sakha (Yakutia) "The rules of entry, departure and staying on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship" :

The given law states reasons and rules of entry, departure and staying on the territory of the Republic of Sakha for foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship, in accordance with the Russian Federation Constitution, corresponding laws and legal documents issued on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Russian Federation., and international agreements.

1.The legal basis permitting entry on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship involves Russian visa and the legal identity document.

2.The legal basis for arranging entry on the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship is one of these:
- the written invitation on behalf of the Russian citizen or the Russian organization, 
- the travel agreement with the Russian travel ,
- the international agreements. 

The government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has exclusive rights to limit the entry to the cities and regions of the republic with special process for the foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship in order to protect economic and civil interests of the Russian citizens.

Necessary documentation for the legal entry to the territory of the Republic of Sakha.

- Russian visa,
- the identity documentation,
- the invitation to visit the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), including the list of all the places in Yakutia that are planned to be visited,
- the travel agreement with the confirmation of the acceptance from the Russian company,
- the medical insurance, recognizable on the territory of the Republic of Sakha,
- permission to carry out the working activity for foreign citizens and persons of no citizenship, coming to the republic as the labor force.
- certified customs declaration.

Foreign citizens, coming into the republic on the basis of the travel agreement are allowed to the territory of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) without special invitation from the Department of the Foreign Affairs, the same applies to persons owning the United Nations Passports.

The Department of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sakha is an authorized organization issuing permissions to visit the republic.
